The IFC SMART1© or, Speaker Microphone Adapter with Radio frequency line for Temporary use, was first develop by Jeff during the 2005 fire season to fit the need of not having a mobile radio. This modification to any standard speaker microphone turns your BK portable into a mini-mobile radio. Attach your radio to an external mag-mount antenna (sold separately) and leave your portable sitting in a cup holder and use the speaker/mic as a mobile type microphone. This is an inexpensive solution for those who travel by rental vehicle. Once this modification is done to a speaker/mic it will only work when attached to an outside antenna source. (RF stands for Radio Frequency, meaning your radio antenna.)
IFC SMART 1© RF239 -A standard SO-239 connector. To use with any PL-259 connector. The one thats on most standard Mag-Mount antenna. (Other options available upon request).

IFC SMART 1© RF3.5 -A standard In-Line 3.5mm Mono Jack. For those of you with a SKYPROBES® High Gain antenna, this is the one for you! This modifiation allows you to use your speaker/mic and SKYPROBES® antenna at the same time.

IFC Custom Made Radio Adapters

These adapters and radio interface cable were made at the request of local Helitack crews to use with their new BK Technologies KNG model portable radios. These are custom made to the purchasers specifications. All products are tested and guaranteed to work.

IFC-KNG-HELO

BK Technologies KNG-P to Helicopter Interface with Audio/Microphone plug and RF BNC to SMA, 18″ long.

IFC-KNG-HELM

BK Technologies KNG-P to Standard Flight Helmet with PTT switch, 10″ long.

IFC-DPH-HELM

BK Technologies DPH or GPH to Standard Flight Helmet with PTT switch, 15″ Long.
